Firsts
I'm like super stressed over uni and day-to-day life rn, so I'm just gonna briefly talk about my favorite day ever because I can.
September 3rd, 2025 | LESSERAFIM Concert Day
I spent months planning for this day, mulling over plans and losing sleep while going through Ticketmaster with their stupid fees and buying all the stuff I needed for this trip. This was my big dream, one I promised myself I wouldn't miss just after the group's first anniversary.
I got up at 4 in the morning to go to the airport, and I'm not a morning person. My mom dropped my dad, sister, and me off and she was kinda emotional and probably nervous because it was the first time any of us had been on a plane. Being on the plane was cool but takeoff and landing were kinda scary, so I held my dad's hand. We had a layover at the Atlanta airport and wow, was that place busy and it felt like we walked a football field to get to our gate bro.
Anyway, the flight was cool and we were in Newark. I didn't see/do much, but I really liked the airtrain. I went to a Banh mi place because they were having an event for the concert, and the food was really good. They were playing music, giving out freebies, and selling photocards. Somehow I missed out on presale merch at the venue, so I just waited outside until it was time to go in.
More people were giving out freebies, and a local bar was playing K-pop for all of us. GA was finally able to go in but the merch lines were mad long from VIP and kept getting cut off, so I gave up and went to my seat with 15 minutes until start time (I did hear that someone waited in line thinking they had enough time and missed the opening song, so it was a good call). I ended up forgetting to get a picture of myself there lol.
The concert was amazing! When the lights dimmed, the energy totally changed. Hearing them perform all the songs I had spent the past 3 years listening to and singing all the lyrics without a care in the world, the chants when each member would appear on the big screen, the speeches, and the VCRs were so cool. There was even a moment at the end where Sakura waved at our section, and it felt like she was looking right at me, which probably isn't the case, but I believe it anyway. I cried in the Uber back to the hotel. It felt so awesome to be around people who liked the same thing I did, idk I just felt alive.
Overall, the trip was really fun; it was my first time being really far away from home and kinda planning/doing my own thing. Being at the airport, people watching, talking to locals, and walking blocks just like in the movies. I was able to step out of my comfort zone, interact with others, and leave my house.
